When the New England Patriots face off with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Tom Brady will be in an unfamiliar position, as an underdog. They are going to head to Arrowhead Stadium as three-point underdogs and this is the first time that Brady will be an underdog since 2014.
The Patriots were favored in every game so far this season and were also favored in every game last year and last postseason. They were favored in every game in 2015 except a few when Brady sat out because of the deflate-gate suspension.
According to Pro Football Talk, the last time New England were underdogs was on November 30th, 2014, when the team was at Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. They weren't even able to cover the spread in that game losing 26-21.
Even being a dynasty, the Patriots have taken on an underdog role this year with everyone seeming to count them out. After the Patriots win on Sunday, Brady really tried to play the role of the underdog.

“I know everyone thinks we suck and, you know, can’t win any games,” Brady told CBS’s Tracy Wolfson. “So we’ll see. It’ll be fun.”
The Chiefs and Patriots already faced off once this year with the Patriots being the home team winning 43-40. This a different week though and it's a whole different animal going on the road. The Patriots have a perfect 9-0 record at home, but on the road they have struggled, going only 3-5 and scoring almost seven points less per game.
