New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made history on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, as he surpassed 4,000 yards this season to become just the fourth signal-caller in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards 10 times, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Philip Rivers represent the other three quarterbacks.

In spite of his latest record, Brady has been a hot topic of discussion this past week for his lackluster performance this season overall.

Brady is coming off of a less than inspiring performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week and has not looked himself all year long, leading many to question whether or not he is finally declining.

He isn't really doing himself many favors against the Bills in that regard on Sunday, as he has already thrown two interceptions and is actually having a pretty awful day overall in spite of his record.

Overall this season, Brady has thrown for 4,105 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, completing 65.9 percent of his passes.

Those are hardly bad numbers by any stretch of the imagination, but they are not what we are used to seeing from the five-time Super Bowl champion.

Of course, it doesn't help matters much that the Patriots receiving corps are incredibly thin right now. Rob Gronkowski is a shell of himself, Julian Edelman is aging and Josh Gordon is gone for the remainder of the year.

This is, quite arguably, the weakest supporting cast Brady has had in his career, or at least in quite some time.

If the Patriots beat the Bills on Sunday (and it looks like they will), they will move to 10-5 on the year and clinch the AFC East crown.
