In today's “sir, what?” news, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady continues with the narrative of his team being the “underdogs.”

Apparently equating the hatred of him, as a person, to the hatred of his team as a whole, Brady took to the radio waves to tell Mut & Callahan about how the “whole world of football” has been against the Patriots, who he believes are still the “underdogs” after going to the Super Bowl eleven times and scoring five wins.

“That’s the reality,” Brady said. “I think we’ve embraced that, we’ve dealt with it all year, going back to Week 2, Week 3. But we believe in ourselves. I think the adversity has made us tougher. There’s nothing easy about the football season. Just what we’ve dealt with certainly hasn’t been, ‘Just roll our helmets onto the field.’ We’ve had to grind and work every single day. That’s what this team has done all season. That’s what it will take this week. It’s a great opportunity for us. We can’t give anything less than our best.”

Tom Brady — who is going to his ninth Super Bowl this Sunday — also said that his mind is “in a different place” than it was when he first started playing 17 years ago. He said that he's not as interested in partying as he used to be, especially now that he's married and has three children. Additionally, though he shows no interest in retiring, he says that he is “slowing down” a little bit, and stopping to enjoy himself.

Clearly, Tom Brady is suffering, and we should all feel sorry for him.
