He's 42 years old and still going strong.
BetOnline.ag, via The Athletic's Jon Machota, has New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady with the fourth-best odds to win 2019 NFL MVP. He sits behind the Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Philadelphia Eagles' Carson Wentz, Cleveland Browns' Baker Mayfield, and New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees to win the award, with 14/1 odds – tied with the Los Angeles Chargers' Philip Rivers.
Coming off his sixth Super Bowl win, Brady, a three-time NFL MVP, hasn't shown signs of slowing down as of late. Despite endless speculation that he's doing just that, Brady keeps coming back while wowing those in Foxborough and making enemies across the AFC with All-Pro level play.
Article Continues BelowIn 2018, Brady wasn't quite in contention to win his fourth MVP, but hardly slacked off. For the season, he completed 375 of his 570 passes (65.8 percent completion rate) for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. In 2017, he won the MVP award for the third time in his career, completing 385 of his 581 attempts for a career-high 4,577 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
Although the Patriots lost starting left tackle Trent Brown to free agency and legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski to retirement, Brady's offense isn't devoid of talent for him to utilize. Their wide receiver corps — highlighted by Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, Demaryius Thomas, and N'Keal Harry — is deep; running back Sony Michel is coming off of a big rookie year; the offensive line is still solid; Bill Belichick remains his head coach and and the defense is loaded.
It's fair to say Brady has another shot at winning his fourth MVP award. Where he'd fit it in a stack-full trophy case is a question for a different time.
