Tampa Bay Buccaneers new star quarterback Tom Brady reportedly already has beef with his former team. After the ex-New England Patriots gunslinger was tagged as conflicting with Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, the 42-year-old six-time Super Bowl champion shot down the rumors.
Brady shared a screenshot of a story about the “deteriorated” relationship with the one-time Denver Broncos head coach McDaniels, in his second stint with the New England organization, writing on Instagram it's “nonsense” and calling for “responsible” reporting (via NESN's Zack Cox).

Brady signed a two-year, fully guaranteed $50 million deal with the NFC South's Buccaneers this spring, departing from his longtime Patriots following 20 years and 18 postseason berths; however, after losing to the underdog Tennessee Titans (and former Pats player-turned-coordinator Mike Vrabel) in the AFC Wild Card Round, Brady ditched New England for sunny Tampa Bay, also residing and renting Derek Jeter's estate.
Part of Brady's exit brought many questions of why he would leave the franchise with which he won six Vince Lombardi trophies, but, according to Brady himself, it did not have to do to a damaged relationship with the offensive coordinator McDaniels.
McDaniels spent four years as the offensive coordinator (and quarterbacks coach) for Brady and the Patriots in 2005-08, later taking the Broncos coaching gig and returning to Foxborough in 2012, where he has resided ever since. Brady's split from the Pats was theorized as a gripe with Bill Belichick, the central figure on the sidelines for the perpetual Super Bowl contenders from the AFC. As of now, though, we won't know if anything from the Pats' side of things influenced the future Hall of Fame quarterback's stunning late-career shake-up.
