New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is currently in the midst of his first season as the primary option for the talented NFC South franchise. Taking things to a whole new level early in 2019-20, Kamara has led the Drew Brees-less Saints to a 2-1 record while destroying the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 3.

The Saints starting running back led the team in both rushing yards with 69 and receiving yards with 92 as a result of the 33-27 win over the Seahawks. Getting a first-hand look at the talented Kamara, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was more than impressed.

“Better than I thought he was,” Carroll told a local ESPN 710 Radio show when asked for his thoughts regarding Kamara following Sunday afternoon's loss in Seattle. “You could see he has a style about him that you need to see in person.”

However, Carroll was certainly not the only member of the Seahawks organization to take notice of Kamara in Week 3.

“Sometimes we were shoulder tackling, arm tackling, that’s not going to cut it,” Seahawks defensive end Quinton Jefferson told John Hendrix of SB Nation after the recent matchup in Seattle. “He’s one of the best backs in the league, and he’s not going to go down with an arm tackle.”

The Seahawks initially defeated both the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers before coming up short at home in Week 3. On the other hand, the Saints, who are currently playing without the aforementioned Brees, defeated the Houston Texans in Week 1 before losing to the surging Los Angeles Rams in Week 2.
