Drew Brees set two legendary records on Monday against the Indianapolis Colts. The 40-year-old New Orleans Saints quarterback set the record for most career touchdowns (540) and completion rating in a game (96.67%).

On Sunday, he has a chance to make history again. If he has four consecutive completions to start the match with the Tennessee Titans, he will have accomplished 26 in a row, an NFL record. He currently has 22.

Accomplishing the feat would cap-off six days worthy of the Hall of Fame alone. The Saints are riding high; the Titans lost a game they needed to win. Though Tennessee is 25th in passing yards allowed per game (258.1), Brees knows that hitting that record won't be easy.

The Titans have a lot to play for on Sunday. Losing could be a deathblow to their playoff aspirations. They will push the Saints, even if they aren't conference opponents.

“It would be just as hard if you're playing a divisional opponent or if you're playing somebody that you're just not as familiar with, I mean, bottom line is you got to come up with a great game plan and you've got to go out and execute that game plan,” Brees said on Wednesday. “And it's on the road and they have a lot to play for just like we do. So it'll be a tough game.”

The Titans will be without their top cornerback Adoree' Jackson with a foot injury.

Whether or not Brees will or won't accomplish the feat would not spoil an already monumental week for his career. It would just be a cherry-on-top.
