The New Orleans Saints offense was noticeably different in Week 3 with Teddy Bridgewater as the starting quarterback. After securing a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Bridgewater sees “more” on the horizon for the offense.

“I’m pretty sure, last week as well, given the circumstances we wanted to try to cut back on some things with all the crowd noise,” Bridgewater said. “Being back home, being able to do our own cadence, we can do more.”

As Bridgewater started in place of Drew Brees this past week, Sean Payton seemed to dial back the offense a bit. However, the shortened playbook wasn't just because of his lack of reps with the starters.

The veteran quarterback stated that playing on the road in Seattle was one of the reasons why the offense was limited to an extent. Despite the limitations, New Orleans was able to defeat the Seahawks with Bridgewater playing efficiently.

At the end of the game, Bridgewater completed 19 of his 27 attempts for 177 yards and two touchdowns in his first start since Week 17 of the 2018 season. Throughout the game against the Seahawks, the Saints quarterback targeted Alvin Kamara out of the backfield for the majority of the day.

This week, New Orleans will be playing in their first home of the season with Bridgewater as their starter. Therefore, Payton may feel more comfortable incorporating more plays into the gameplan.

In Week 4, the Saints will square off against an undefeated Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. With that in mind, they may need to open up their playbook a tad more to keep Dallas guessing on defense.
