The NFL and Nickelodeon decided to team up for the NFC Wild Card matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears. With the idea was for the children's network to bring a more friendly and fun atmosphere to the game for kids, it appears all fans are enjoying the Slime Takeover so far.
That much was apparent as Saints wideout Michael Thomas got his feet āwetā with the first touchdown of the game, prompting the Slime Cannons to go berserk:

There are a few more stops that Nickelodeon has pulled out on Sunday, which could turn most of the viewership to their end versus CBS (both companies divisions of Viacom). The NFL may want to pencil in a few more appearances from Nickelodeon going forward given the wide approval from most fans enjoying the contest.
Thomas' touchdown was the lone score in the contest prior to a Chicago field goal. He's also caught all three of his targets from the first quarter for 29 yards.
The Saints marched into Sunday with a 12-4 record from the regular season, putting them atop the NFC South. They'd won their last two games of the regular season after riding a two-game losing streak. Most of the Saints' success came in Week 4 after a 35-29 win over the Detroit Lions. It was all upwards from there, seeing as how the Saints went on a nine-game winning streak to cement their playoff berth.
They come into Sunday against the Bears, a squad against whom they're heavily favored to win.
