New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has had a long road back to starting a game in the NFL. After signing a one-year, $7.25 million dollar contract this offseason to stay with the Saints as Drew Brees' backup, Bridgewater was able to pull out his first win as the Saints starter in his first opportunity since Brees went down.
After winning the game, Bridgewater gave an emotional speech to the Saints.

You can see Bridgewater holding back his emotions after Sunday's win against the Seattle Seahawks. After suffering a devastating knee injury to his left knee, many questioned whether the young quarterback would ever be the same.
Article Continues BelowSunday, he proved that he can still win games for teams and be an effective quarterback in this league. There was a reason New Orleans decided to make him the leagues highest-paid backup quarterback, aware that Drew Brees was heading into his age 41 season.
2015 was the last year that saw Bridgewater as a fully healthy starter, a season that saw him start all 16 games for the Minnesota Vikings and leading them to an 11-5 record and earning a Pro Bowl nod.
Many seemed to forget how impressive Bridgewater was that season and the expectations for the Vikings before he was injured.
With Bridgewater set as the starter for the foreseeable future, we will see how he is able to play in the upcoming weeks and if he can lead New Orleans to big wins as they await the return of their beloved quarterback.
