The New York Giants went down 14-0 to the New York Jets in the first quarter. All that did was given Darius Slayton a chance to single-handily will his team back into the game. After Pat Shurmur decided to go for it on fourth down, Daniel Jones tossed it to the Auburn rookie, who proceeded to dash his way for a 39-yard touchdown.

On the play, the speedy Slayton shook off his defender to get open for a slant route. Daniel Jones found the rookie standout and allowed him to do the rest for a big-play touchdown
With the touchdown, Slayton now has four receptions for 56 yards and two touchdowns at halftime of Sunday's game. The rookie fifth-round pick has been a pleasant surprise for the Giants with five touchdowns through the season.
While Sterling Shepard continues to recover from a concussion, New York is beginning to find a diamond in the rough with the former War Eagle.
