The New York Giants are set to take on the Chicago Bears in an interesting Week 17 matchup. Both of these teams have not played well this season but certainly have some more talent than their record shows.
As crazy as it might sound, both of these teams might benefit more from losing this game so that they can get a higher draft pick in next year's draft. They aren't going to make the playoffs and there are clearly areas that both teams need to work on so losing this game isn't going to be that big of a deal. From the Giants' perspective, there are many areas that they're going to need to improve on this offseason and there's no better way to do that than by the NFL draft.
On the flip side, this could be a good game for the Giants to gain some confidence going into next season because the Bears are certainly a team that is very beatable. The Giants have dealt with some unfortunate injuries throughout the year and that is part of the reason why they have had a disappointing season. They don't have as much talent as they need to compete in this league but this could be a good week for them to get back on track and show everybody that they are better than they have played this season.
Let's take a look at four bold predictions for the Giants as they take on the Bears in Week 17.

Giants Week 17 Predictions
4. Saquon has his best game of the year
Barkley has been injured all season long for the most part and has only played a few games this season. There is no question that he is one of the best running backs in all of football when he is healthy but unfortunately, he has not been as healthy as the Giants and fans were hoping for. He's an elite talent and when he's on the field he's certainly one of the best in all of football. He's going to prove that this weekend against the Bears as he's going to rush for over 75 yards and have a touchdown.

The Giants' defense hasn't necessarily been bad this year whatsoever, but they do have weeks where they just don't perform to what they can do. Their problems this year have mostly been on the offensive side of the ball but the defense has also struggled at times as well. That's going to change this week as their defense is going to only allow 10 points and that's going to allow the offense to win this game in a very low-scoring contest.
2. Close game for the entirety
This game is bound to be close because the Giants don't have an explosive offense and the Bears certainly don't have an explosive offense. It's going to be a close game for the entirety and that's going to help the Giants be able to walk away with this win. They are going to be able to do just enough to walk away with this victory.
1. Giants win on a last-minute field goal
Because this game is going to be close for the entirety of it, the Giants are going to have to kick a game-winning field goal in the last few seconds of the game to walk away with the victory. That's exactly what's going to happen and the New York Giants are going to pick up their fifth win of the year and head into the last game of the season and the offseason with a little bit of confidence.
