Antonio Brown is making noticeable strides to get back to the NFL, and the league is taking notice of their prodigal son. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has announced his intentions to help the former wide receiver for the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers get back on his feet.

During the annual Super Bowl news conference, the commissioner was asked about the condition and future of Brown in the NFL. He replied with a very supportive statement about the NFL's level of involvement with him.

Via CNN's Jill Martin:

“We don't talk about the wellness of our players publicly, but I would tell you that you can be sure that the NFL and the (NFL Players Association) have a tremendous amount of resources that are available to all players,” Goodell continued. “They're going to be made available to Antonio.

Upon hearing the news, Antonio Brown was happy with the type of attention he's finally getting.

“I was pleased to hear that after 140 days that there was some positivity about me because as of late I've just been the cancer of the NFL,” Antonio Brown said, referencing Goodell's comments at his state-of-the-league address Wednesday. “The problem child, the guy who gets in trouble, the kind of guy who has the bad narrative about him.”

However, he's holding himself from fully singing praises until he gets a whiff of the support Goodell and the league promised to him.

Asked whether he believed Goodell, Brown told Anderson: “I'll believe it when we see it.”

Brown is facing multiple legal charges since being cut from the New England Patriots early in the 2019 season. It's unlikely that he'll find a team who'll take a risk on him until all of the legal issues are settled.
