The future is still hazy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the future of Jameis Winston is still up in the air. The team is not sure if they're going to keep the dynamic yet inconsistent quarterback, but Carson Palmer believes that “Famous Jameis” will have a great 2020 if he stays a Buc.
According to Bucs Wire's Colin Liotta, Palmer called for one more year of patience from the Tampa Bay organization and fanbase. The former NFL quarterback, who suited up for head coach Bruce Arians during his time with the Arizona Cardinals, believes that Jameis Winston spent the entirety of last season learning Arians' system.

There are tons of formations. Tons of shifts. Every play can change at the line of scrimmage, protection-wise. There’s so many different concepts… If Jameis is back in Tampa, I would expect Year 2 to be a massive year for him.”
Winston had a frustrating 2019 season for Buccaneers fans. He became only the eighth player in NFL history to have notched 5000 passing yards in a season, but his 30 interceptions were also the most in the league. It was a very up-and-down season for him, and there's no assurance that he'll get a large contract due to his up and down performance.
While there are other teams that would be interested in acquiring Jameis Winston, Palmer hopes that he plays at least one more year with the Buccaneers. If Winston does decide to do so, he would have the opportunity to prove his worth under Arians' system.
