Just before all this pandemic madness went full swing, the NFL was hit with some groundbreaking news of its own. The face of the New England Patriots for two whole decades was switching sides – Tom Brady was a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. Not only that, but his long-time compadre, Rob Gronkowski was joining him in Florida. Gronk recently revealed how it all went down.
Though some people may think it may have been premeditated, according to Gronk it wasn't planned at all. He recently shared the story on a CBS Sports Network radio show.

Definitely one of [the factors] was Tom going down to Tampa. That was a big connection. To gain chemistry with a quarterback is not an easy task. That’s time you got to put in. That’s a lot of work you got to put it. And we put in work for the last – before this year – nine years. I just kind of felt like it was a great situation to continue with Tom.”
Sounds like Rob Gronkowski didn't need a lot of convincing. Where Tom Brady goes, he's more than willing to follow. Even just on paper, Buccaneers fans have plenty of reasons to be ecstatic about the upcoming season. (assuming we have one *knocks on wood*)
When you sign such a powerhouse tandem on the football field you're bound to win a few more games. But beyond that, the two have built nearly a decade's worth of chemistry playing at the highest level. Bucs fans can finally daydream about the Lombardi trophy, and rightly so.
