June Jones isn't shy about letting the world know where his quarterback should be.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach and disciple of the run-and-shoot offense told the world on Friday that Johnny Manziel should absolutely be playing in the National Football League, via David Newton of ESPN.
“I've been pleasantly surprised the last three weeks what a good teammate he is, how smart he is, how he sees the game,” Jones told ESPN.com. “He should be playing in the National Football League, and I believe he will when he gets through with us.”
Manziel, 25, is now Jones's latest QB. Attempting a triumphant comeback to the NFL, Manziel took his QB talents north to the CFL.
Jones is loving what he's seeing and believes two years is the magic number.

“He's humble,” he said. “He's growing up every day.”
Though Jones's words remained mostly positive, he did admit that Johnny has plenty of work to do while up north.
“We have a huge project,” Jones said of Manziel. “We're going to get that done, too.”
In two years and 15 total games (eight starts) before it all fell apart, Manziel threw for 1,675 yards and seven scores for the Cleveland Browns. He's hoping the CFL and the run-and-shoot master himself, June Jones, is the perfect prescription in making his way back to the big time.
