In the Super Bowl against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs gunslinger Patrick Mahomes often found himself running for his life.

He still somehow preferred relatively well; though many “experts” were somehow expecting the quarterback to overcome the insane amount of pressure put on him.

Nonetheless, Chiefs offensive lineman Eric Fisher, who could not play in the Big Game due to injury, admitted it was brutal to watch his QB1 forced to buy time.

“Sitting up in the stands, it was tough to watch, to know that the quarterback that I was protecting was running around there,” Fisher said in his Colts introductory press conference, via ArrowheadPride.com. “It was tough to watch. I like being a consistent player, so to not be available to do that job for my team, it was tough. It just makes me want to get back and stay healthy and just continue to play high-level football for a team.”

For those unaware, Fisher was actually released by the Chiefs when the season was over. Despite being with a new team, it is nice to see him still think about and care for Patrick Mahomes. Either way, we must protect our quarterbacks at all cost. They are America's true national treasure.
