June 30, 2022 marked Philadelphia Eagles receiver AJ Brown's 25th birthday — or so we thought.
It all started when the Eagles wished Brown a happy birthday on Thursday. He acknowledged the birthday wish with a quote tweet, complete with a confetti and birthday cake emoji.

His 25th marked Brown's first birthday celebration as a member of the Eagles. However, the wide receiver later informed his Twitter followers that things aren't as they seem. Hours after acknowledging the Eagles' tweet, he came back to Twitter and explained why June 30 wasn't actually June 30.
It’s not even June 30th tbh lol. Its really 13 months in a year and I don’t think nobody knows what day or year it really is lol. So maybe it’s my bday or maybe it isn’t 🙂maybe I’m 25 or 18 … who knows🤷🏽♂️😂

Many responded to Brown's tweet saying he was bonkers or drunk. But, he later retweeted a post to clarify that he's talking about the Ethiopian calendar, which has 13 months in each year.

Going by this logic, there are a lot of teenagers playing in the NFL right now. This explains why Tom Brady is aging so nicely, he's technically in his mid-to-late 30s! If you're curious to see the difference between the European standard date and the Ethiopian date, check out this converter.
Brown didn't stop there, though. He also joked that the United States' moon landing in 1969 was fake and that we live in a “globe.” That tweet has since been deleted because it was a joke, but he wasn't kidding about the calendar thing.

Whether he believes it was his birthday or not, Brown undoubtedly appreciated the birthday wishes he received on Thursday.
