The Atlanta Falcons powered through for a crucial 34-29 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon to grab just their second win of the season.

However, it saw rookie wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffer a left ankle injury that forced him to exit the game prematurely. According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, the MRI on Ridley's ankle has come back clean with just a bone bruise that has potentially put his status for Week 7 action against the New York Giants up in the air.

This is an encouraging development as the Falcons have avoided a potential major loss to their passing game as Ridley has quickly emerged as a prominent factor offensively. He is currently second on the team behind Julio Jones with 22 catches for 349 receiving yards and a team and league-beast six receiving touchdowns.

Ridley has become a key part of the passing game over the last few weeks as he has notched at least three catches in each of the past five games while posting more than 45 receiving yards four times over that stretch. This includes a breakout performance with seven catches on eight targets for 146 receiving yards and three touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints.

If the Falcons were to elect to rest him against the Giants, it will see a heavier reliance on wide receivers Jones and Mohamed Sanu and tight end Austin Hooper in the passing game.
