It's comeback time. At the very least, that's what Johnny Manziel is all about at the given moment.
In his attempt to come back to the National Football League, the very same place he's once failed as a first-round selection, Manziel has accepted an invitation to attend the Spring League Scouting Event. He provided words as well, via Alec Nathan of Bleacher Report.
“Football has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Sometimes you take for granted how much you value something until it's gone. My goal is to make it back to the NFL and I realize I have to earn that privilege. The Spring League has provided me with a great opportunity to play ball again, and ultimately, that is all I want to do. I miss the competition. I'd like to thank Brian Woods and The Spring League staff for this opportunity to play the game I love. I've made my share of mistakes, but I'm 25 years old and I know my best football is ahead of me.”
For those unaware, the Spring League is an elite developmental platform hosted in Austin, Texas. It's seen top talent over the years attend including names such as Kellen Winslow II and Ahmad Bradshaw, formerly of the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts.
From all early indications, the league is all about furthering Manziel's comeback bid. The organization is currently in the midst of retweeting/promoting everything Manziel.
“We're excited to have such a dynamic player in Johhny Manziel taking part in the Spring League,” Spring League CEO Brian Woods said in a statement provided to Bleacher Report. “We believe our platform is the ideal forum for Mr. Manziel to enact his NFL comeback.”

In 15 career NFL games with the Cleveland Browns, Manziel's thrown for 1,675 yards and seven touchdowns against seven interceptions. April 7, 2018, will be the first date the world can catch Manziel in action as he looks to further his comeback bid while playing in the Spring League.
