The countless allegations being directed to the Washington Redskins recently is placing the franchise in a state of turmoil. However, amidst the issues, it seems like team owner Dan Snyder will still continue to hold on to the NFL franchise he bought some 21 years ago.
While the NFL will consider fining the football team and taking action against those accused, the Washington Post reported it is unlikely for the league and fellow owners to try and force Dan Snyder into selling the club he has owned since 1999.
The organization was put in hot waters after several employees and two journalists voiced sexual harassment issues during their time around the franchise.
The allegations involving the Washington-based team spanned from 2006 to 2019. Numerous allegations were made against many of the people who were allegedly members of Snyder's inner-circle.

In a statement Friday, Snyder said the Washington Post report “strengthened my commitment to setting a new culture and standard for our team, a process that began with the hiring of Coach [Ron] Rivera” over the offseason.
The reported news comes on top of the clamor for the team's monicker change amidst the Black Lives Matter movement in American society. Only days before the allegations, Washington announced the dropping of the Redskins moniker. The front office also has to face on-field issues as the team is looking to bounce back from a lowly 3-13 record last season.
With the way 2020 is panning out thus far, it is definitely not a good time to be a Washington fan. Maybe fans actually want the NFL to pry the team away from Dan Snyder.
