Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick must feel a bit of vindication with all the social protesting that has been going on. But that hasn't necessarily translated to a return to the field just yet.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, no teams have actually reached out to sign the free agent signal-caller.

This goes directly against recent reports from NFL reporter Mike Silver that multiple teams were interest. He also claims that he got word from an actual head coach that they wanted to sign Kaepernick to a legitimate deal.

Colin Kaepernick hasn't suited up to play since 2016 but there have been reports that he's kept himself in playing shape. He's just been waiting for the right team to take a chance on him again.

Kaepernick's impact to the ongoing social movement, especially throughout the sports world hasn't gone unnoticed. Recently, LeBron James has made a statement demanding the NFL issue Colin an apology, showing his influence has transcended his own sport.

“As far as the NFL, I'm not in those locker rooms, I'm not with those guys, but I do understand that an apology – I have not heard a true, official apology to Colin Kaepernick on what he was going through and what he was trying to tell the NFL and tell the world about why he was kneeling when he was doing that as a San Francisco 49er,” James told Bloomberg.

It is indeed possible that teams are actually interested in the former San Francisco star. But until anything actually materializes, it's all hearsay at this point.
