Is Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams finally on the move?

Williams, who has been the subject of trade rumors for quite some time, took to social media to post a rather cryptic message on Wednesday (April 22) that may indicate that a deal is coming.

Williams has been at odds with the Redskins since last summer.

The beef is rooted in Williams' disdain for Washington's medical staff after they told him that a growth in his head was nothing to worry about back in 2013. However, in April 2019, Williams underwent surgery to remove the growth, as it was revealed to be a type of concern.

As a result, the 31-year-old did not participate in the Redskins' offseason program and demanded to be either traded or released. Washington attempted to find a trade partner, but the club's asking price was too high.

The Redskins then placed Williams on the “Did Not Report” list in July.

Washington tried to trade Williams again ahead of the Week 8 deadline back in October, but they were unable to find a deal they liked. The seven-time Pro Bowler attempted to return to the field, but he was placed on the non-football injury list after experiencing scalp soreness from his surgery when he tried to put his helmet on.
