The Washington Redskins have had a rough season so far and are already out of playoff contention. Due to the fact that they are out of contention, the front office seems to be changing their mind on a few things with the NFL trade deadline looming.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Redskins are now open to trading star left tackle Trent Williams. The report also states that they have begun looking at potential trade partners and the Cleveland Browns are among the teams interested in acquiring Williams.

Williams is going to be a very hot commodity on the trade market if the Redskins are seriously open to moving him. He is one of the top offensive linemen in football and there are quite a few teams that could use a player with his abilities.

At this point in time, there is no report about what the Redskins are going to be looking for in return for him. It won't be a cheap asking price, nor should Washington settle for a bad deal. He is likely worth a high round draft pick and possibly even more than that depending on the market.

It is going to be intriguing to keep an eye on the trade deadline this year. There have been quite a few big names rumored to be available at the right price. Williams is the best offensive lineman on that list, which will give the Redskins a lot of bargaining power.
