Turner, the son of Norv Turner, took over as the Panthers' offensive play-caller last month after the firing of head coach Ron Rivera and was impressive.
The 37-year-old landed his first NFL coaching job back in 2011 when he was named Carolina's offensive quality control coordinator, a position he held for two years.
Turner then joined the Cleveland Browns as their wide receivers coach in 2013, spending one season there before linking up with the Minnesota Vikings as quarterbacks coach in 2014.
After residing with the Vikings for three seasons, Turner spent one year as an offensive analyst at the University of Michigan before returning to the professional level in 2018, taking a job as the Panthers' quarterbacks coach.

The news of Turner's potential move to the Redskins comes after Washington gave Kevin O'Connell, who was the club's offensive coordinator this season, permission to speak with other teams.
The Redskins ranked 31st in the NFL in yards and last in scoring this season, so their offense can certainly use a boost.
Of course, Washington lacks top-level talent on the offensive side of the ball, but with a young quarterback in Dwayne Haskins and what appears to be a promising receiving corps, the Redskins could certainly use an offensive coordinator who is going to be with the club for the long haul.
Washington went just 3-13 this season.
