The Washington Redskins have not been a very successful NFL franchise for quite some time now. They have made the playoffs just five times since 1993, and they have won only two playoff games during that span, with the last postseason victory coming during the 2005-06 campaign.
This season, the Redskins have gone just 7-8 and have lost five of their last six games after a strong 6-3 start. Of course, their recent slide probably has quite a bit to do with the fact that quarterback Alex Smith was lost for the season with a broken leg, but Washington's issues run deeper than just under center.
Apparently, Washington's brass feels the same way, as Redskins beat reporter Craig Hoffman is reporting that a major shakeup is coming in team's front office:
Multiple sources tell me that there is a major shakeup coming in the #Redskins business office.
Multiple executives will no longer be with the organization as of this afternoon. More details coming.

Hoffman adds that the executives most likely to lose their jobs are a part of the franchise's business operations and have all had their jobs for less than a year.

Then again, very little actually makes sense with the Washington franchise.
The Redskins are coming off of a nine-point loss to the Tennessee Titans this past weekend and will conclude their regular season when they play host to the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
Washington lost to the Eagles on the road earlier in the month.
