The Houston Rockets may have lost two of their last three games for the first time in almost a month, but James Harden is still doing spectacular things.

With his 42 point, 11 rebound and 6 assist effort against the Milwaukee Bucks, Harden has now notched 30 points and 5 assist in an NBA record 14 straight games. He surpassed Steph Curry.

Harden has played his way back into the MVP conversation since Chris Paul injured his hamstring. The Rockets had fallen as low as 14th place in the west, but they've clawed their way back into the playoffs, largely thanks to some otherworldly play from Harden.

Discounting their latest matchup against the Bucks, Harden is averaging 33.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game on the season. He averaged 30.4/5.4/8.8 per game last season, his MVP season.

Since Paul went down on Dec. 20, Harden has averaged 40.6 points per game and 9.3 assists per game. Along the way, he's posted insane stat lines like 43/10/13 and 44/10/15 in back to back games against the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors.

That game against the Warriors also ended on a game-winning three-pointer in overtime in Harden, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson both had their hands in his face.

Last night Harden added another highlight to his collection this season against the West-leading Denver Nuggets. He broke Jamaal Murray's ankles on a behind the back move above the three-point line, and not only did he hit the three, Murray actually managed to recover, get up and foul Harden on the attempt, giving him a four-point play.

Harden and the Rockets will look to get back on track when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
