The Washington Redskins have already become one of the more active teams from around the league this offseason. With the official start of free agency kicking off this week, the Redskins have already acquired veteran quarterback Case Keenum via trade with the Denver Broncos in addition to signing former New York Giants safety Landon Collins to a massive free agent contract.

However, it appears as though the franchise isn't quite done just yet with the NFC East franchise looking to use the old addition by subtraction adage to its advantage. According to a recent report from Tom Pelissero of NFL.com and NFL Network, Washington is currently shopping linebackers Zach Brown and Mason Foster. Even so, there appears to be a means to an end in Washington.

“The Redskins are actively shopping several players — including LBs Zach Brown and Mason Foster — in trade talks and are strong players for C.J. Mosley, sources say,” writes Pelissero. Ravens have hoped to retain him, but Mosley has a huge market. Washington would need cap space to do it.”

The Redskins are currently in limbo in terms of the team's status in the NFC standings. Because the Redskins will be without ailing quarterback Alex Smith for the foreseeable future, the team wasted absolutely no time in finding his replacement in Keenum. On the other side of the football, the Redskins immediately added Collins to the mix, which could help the team attract more talent this offseason.

One thing is for sure, though, the Redskins are looking to improve in a hurry.
