The New England Patriots are likely to get starting running back Sony Michel back in the lineup for their Week 10 matchup vs. the Tennessee Titans, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
After missing the past two games with a knee injury, Patriots’ RB Sony Michel is likely to return Sunday vs. Titans, per source. Just needs a good week of practice with no setbacks, but on track.

Michel has missed the past two games after suffering a knee injury against the Chicago Bears in Week 8 but is reportedly on track in his recovery. Although he returned to practice last week, he was ultimately ruled out along with Rob Gronkowski for their Sunday night showdown against the Packers.
Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has surprisingly stepped up to fill in at running back in Michel’s absence. Patterson has led the Patriots in rushing in each of the past two games. He had 10 carries for 38 yards against the Bills and had 11 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Packers.

James White also came through with two rushing touchdowns as the Patriots ran for 123 yards on the ground against Green Bay.
Michel, the 31st pick in this year’s draft, has 422 rushing yards through six games this season. He had been on quite a roll prior to his injury. From Weeks 4-6, he rushed for 316 yards with four touchdowns.
While Michel might be ready to make his return, it remains to be seen if he will be at 100 percent capacity right away. If not, the Patriots may still give Patterson more time at running back in the meantime.
The Patriots will face a stingy Titans run defense which is in the top 10 in the league in terms of fewest rushing yards allowed per carry (4.1) and tied for second in fewest rushing touchdowns allowed (3).
