When he wasn't hearing boos from Philly fans, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was injured against the Seattle Seahawks at home in their Week 12 matchup. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter on Twitter, the unknown injury sent the 26-year-old signal-caller to the locker room.

Wentz completed 18 of 27 passes on Sunday for 100 yards and one interception before heading to the locker room. The North Dakota State product, selected second overall by Philly in the 2016 draft, has started and appeared in every game for the Eagles this season, entering Week 12 with 2,274 yards on 210 completions and 16 touchdowns, but has a near-career-worst 61.2 completion rate.

Wentz joined his team on the sidelines after a visit to the locker room, per the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane.

Wentz's poor start on Sunday comes days after a social-media “burner” account was discovered to be strikingly similar to Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor. The former first-round pick denied having anything to do with a Twitter user that ripped his quarterback.

Per Darrelle Lincoln in TotalProSports.com:

“He was like, ‘This is crazy, somebody talked about you having a burner account, which is nuts,’” said Agholor. “I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I talked to our PR people and they told me.”

With the Eagles trying to focus on the field against an intimidating opponent in the Seahawks, Wentz's injury is the latest distraction to deter winning football in Philly.

The injury for Wentz is still unknown; however, the Eagles gunslinger was spotted warming up, appearing likely he will return to the two-touchdown deficit game to lead a comeback for Philly.
