Quarterback Carson Wentz might have to dine on nothing but crackers and spray cheese until next week.

The Philadelphia Eagles escaped with a tense 27-24 victory over the New York Giants in Week 3, thanks to a 61-yard game-winning (and record-setting) field goal by rookie kicker Jake Elliott. Any betting man would agree that the odds of hitting 60-yard field goal are very slim, especially coming from a newbie in the pros, and Wentz placed all his chips on the side of the more favorable odds this past Sunday.

The Eagles' Twitter account just shared a clip of a mic'd up Wentz on the sidelines before Elliott drove in the game-winner. In the video, it was heard loud and clear that the 24-year-old gunslinger told his fellow teammate, Kamu Grugier-Hill, that he was going to give Elliott his game check for the week if Elliott did indeed send the team to a remarkable victory:

As luck would have it – or rather tough luck for Wentz's wallet – Elliott did convert the stunning 61-yarder. Thus, Philly's signal-caller may have had to tell his friends and family that the celebration following his team's win would be held at the nearest Arby's.

As ESPN's Darell Rovell pointed out (via Tim McManus), Wentz's weekly check amounts to $31,765.

In the end, every single Eagles player and fan in attendance left The Linc with great bliss. Wentz and Elliott all the more so, for being the leader of the team and the day's hero, respectively. But, we all know who's the happier man between the two.
