The Philadelphia Eagles are fighting for a wild card spot in the NFC playoffs. They head into their Week 16 matchup against the New York Giants at 7-7, tied with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints for the #7 seed. It appeared as though they were a bit banged up coming out of their 27-17 win against the Washington Football Team.
Starting tailback Miles Sanders came out of the game during the 2nd half and was replaced by Jordan Howard. It was reported that Sanders was dealing with a thigh injury. He did not practice all week for the Eagles, leaving many wondering if he would be able to play Sunday. Yet, Eagles fans were pleased Friday afternoon after the latest update.
According to ProFootballTalk, Sanders did not even receive an injury designation in the team's final injury report.

The Eagles running back is coming off his best game of the season. He rushed for 131 yards on only 18 carries. However, he is sill without a touchdown this season. Sanders actually lead all players in the NFL this season with the most scrimmage yards without a touchdown.
Sanders looks to snap that streak Sunday vs. the lowly New York Giants. The Giants announced earlier Friday that Jake Fromm will likely be making his first career NFL start at quarterback. New York is already down so many weapons on offense, with Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney both slated to miss the game.
That leaves Eagles' Sanders in a perfect smash spot for the best rushing football team in the league.
