The Philadelphia Eagles have a crowded backfield, but that did not stop them from taking Penn State running back Miles Sanders in the second round of the NFL Draft back in April, which speaks volumes on how highly they view him.
Now in his first NFL training camp, Sanders is loving that fact that all of his hard work and dedication is bearing fruit:
“Everything that I worked hard for is paying off. Literally everything,” said Sanders, according to Tim McManus of ESPN.com. “I feel faster, my weight is where I want it to be, I feel light, I feel quick, everything. I'm moving faster, thinking faster, just catching up to speed with the guys. Feel good.”
Sanders, who spent the first two years of his collegiate career as Saquon Barkley's backup, finally got a chance to sign this past year and excelled, racking up 1,274 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 5.8 yards per carry during his junior campaign.

“That boy is a beast, man. You're going to see. Oooh, I like him,” defensive end Brandon Graham said. “I don't want to give out too much. I'm going to let him be a surprise to some.”
The Eagles are coming off of a 2018 campaign in which they won nine games and snuck into the playoffs as a Wild Card. They then went on to upset the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Round before falling to the New Orleans Saints in the Divisional Round the following week.
