Is Rasul Douglas on his way out of Philadelphia? It looks like it. Amid trade rumors that been swirling for the past month, the Eagles cornerback took to Twitter to post a cryptic (or perhaps not so cryptic) message that could indicate he is on the move:
Two middle fingers up as I make an exit

It should be noted that these are lyrics from Drake's song “Lose You,” so it's not like Douglas came up with that line on his own. However, it's awfully interesting timing.
As for those who are assuming that Douglas' tweet was meant to signal his exit from Philly? He had this to say.
Let em lmaoo . People assume too much https://t.co/yPfLqn09fC

Perhaps. I guess we'll see soon.
Douglas is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played every game and registered 35 tackles and 10 passes defended in an Eagles secondary that was much-maligned all season.
Article Continues BelowPhiladelphia acquired Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay in a trade with the Detroit Lions last month, so it's entirely possible that the club now views Douglas as an expendable piece.
Douglas, who played his collegiate football at West Virginia, was originally selected by the Eagles in the third round (99th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He appeared in 14 contests during his rookie year, logging 25 tackles, a couple of interceptions and 11 passes defended. The Birds won their first ever Super Bowl title that season.
Then, in 2018, Douglas participated in every game and finished with 58 tackles, three picks and four passes defended.
Philadelphia won nine games and captured the NFC East division crown this past season. The Eagles then went on to lose to the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
