The NFL announced on Monday the selections for this year's Pro Bowl that included many familiar faces for the Pittsburgh Steelers with six players in total earnings nods for the contest.

This was something that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger voiced much excitement for his teammates to earn this honor, but he voiced that he believes second-year wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster should have been selected for his first Pro Bowl nod, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Smith-Schuster has put together a breakout 2018 campaign where he has already set career highs across the board along with being one of the most productive wide receivers in the league. The 22-year-old has quickly emerged as a rising star in the league behind his playmaking ability that has been more than a legitimate No. 2 wide receiver alongside Antonio Brown. His production has also given the Steelers one of the league's best passing attacks and duos at the position. He has had the benefit of playing with arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL, but he has established himself a highly-dependable talent in the passing game that has a bright future ahead of him with the Steelers.
This may have simply come down there not being enough spots to help him get into the mix for the Pro Bowl. This has included several prominent names such as his teammate in Brown, Kansas City Chiefs' Tyreek Hill, Houston Texans' DeAndre Hopkins, and Los Angeles Chargers' Keenan Allen. Each of these players has presented legitimate cases to earnt his honor this season. Nonetheless, the snub could be used as additional motivation for Smith-Schuster to reach that individual goal next year.
