The Pittsburgh Steelers now have a fourth set of brothers on the team.
With their sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Steelers selected tight end and fullback Connor Heyward. The Steelers did not enter the draft with a notable need at either position considering both Pat Freiermuth and Derek Watt’s current standing on the team. Nonetheless, Heyward is slated to provide Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada with keen versatility on offense this upcoming season.
Connor Heyward is the younger brother of Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward. Ever since the former officially declared for this year’s NFL Draft, the five-time Pro Bowler had been pulling for him, which included showing his support to him at last month’s NFL Scouting Combine.
Now, Cameron sure is ecstatic to be teammates with his brother.

Connor featured in five seasons at Michigan State, where he was essentially the do-it-all player for the program, from run-blocking to being an option in the short passing game. He capped off his career at Michigan State with 1,536 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns.
Overall, there could end up being some competition within the Steelers locker room with the four sets of brothers on the team.
