The Pittsburgh Steelers won an absolute thriller over the New York Jets on Sunday. Pittsburgh's Chris Boswell kicked a 60-yard field goal to win it for the team, 34-32. Following the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin made an astonishing admission about his kicker.

“Our kicker is a serial killer. He’s got a low pulse rate, and he’s ready to deliver,” Tomlin said of Boswell, per ESPN.

Pittsburgh drove down the field with just a few minutes left in the fourth quarter, while trailing by one point. Boswell netted the game-winner with about a minute left in regulation.

The Jets were unable to convert a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter, that would have given New York a 34-31 lead. The Boswell kick spoiled a fabulous Week 1 game for the Jets, who are 0-1 to start a campaign once again.

New York lost despite producing 394 total yards of offense. Pittsburgh posted just 271 total yards in the game.

The Steelers got what they needed in Aaron Rodgers' debut

Pittsburgh's Week 1 win turned out to be vengeance for veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers spent the last two seasons with the Jets, and it didn't go well for him in the Big Apple.

Rodgers made New York pay in his first game with Pittsburgh. Rodgers threw two fourth quarter touchdown passes, to build a 31-26 lead late in the game. He then made the right plays on the team's final drive, to set up the Boswell kick.

Rodgers finished his day with 244 passing yards and four touchdowns. It was an impressive performance, considering he was sacked four times in the contest.

All of Rodgers' touchdown passes went to different players. Calvin Austin III, Jonnu Smith, Jaylen Warren and Ben Skowronek each came up with receiving scores for Pittsburgh. DK Metcalf led the Steelers wideouts in receiving yards, with 83 on the day. Metcalf also had four receptions.

The Steelers hope to continue winning when they play the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 2. New York hosts the Buffalo Bills in Week 2.
