The Steelers took a tough loss against the Vikings last night. Despite an inspiring second half comeback, Pittsburgh came up short with the final score of 36-28, in favor of Minnesota. Along with the loss, the Steelers played a large portion of the game without their top pass-rusher, T.J. Watt. The outside linebacker left the field during the first half of the matchup and was unable to return after suffering a groin injury.

Fortunately, it looks like the injury is no big deal. NFL reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted that the injury was “just a tweak,” and Watt could be ready to play for the Steelers' next game.

Watt had high hopes for the Thursday Night game, as he was on track to set some records. He was half a sack away from the Steelers' single season sack record. He was also one sack away from third place for the most sacks by a player in his first five seasons since 1982.

Watt left the Week 14 TNF game before he could accomplish either of these feats. However, it looks like he will still have a few games to get the job done, since his injury report Thursday afternoon was highly optimistic. Watt is also one of the favorites for Defensive Player of the Year. He currently has 16 sacks in ten games. If he breaks Michael Strahan's NFL record of 22.5 sacks in a single season, Watt will most likely receive the DPOY honor.
