As the Seattle Seahawks prepare for their regular season to begin, they saw two rookies return to practice on Monday. Both D.K. Metcalf and first-round pick L.J. Collier both appeared at practice this week.
After missing more than a month with an ankle injury, Collier was back on the field as the team prepared for its upcoming meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals. While the rookie defensive end may be back, but Seahawks head coach wouldn’t speak on whether or not he was ready to play during Week 1.

When Collier does eventually make his way back onto the field, the young player will have some new friends to learn from, as Jadeveon Clowney was recently traded to the Seahawks last week, and will no doubt be a great influence on any young defensive end.
After dealing away Frank Clark, the Seahawks have seemingly rebuilt their defensive line on the fly during the offseason. Now, the team is ready to take on the Bengals and begin a season that they hope will once again feature a stellar defensive unit and a much more potent offense. With Russell Wilson leading the way on offense, and with superstar talent in the form of Ziggy Ansah and Clowney now on the roster, the Seahawks could once again be ready to watch their defense dominate throughout the season, and hopefully, propel them into another Super Bowl chase.
