The 2018 NFL season did not go quite as planned for Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny. It seems he has enlisted the help of Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk to assist him this offseason.

Penny is looking to enjoy a potential resurgence in the 2019 NFL season. According to Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk, he says he has consulted with Faulk on ways to improve his game.

Rashaad Penny says he’s been talking and working with Marshall Faulk this offseason. Connected via their shared agent and San Diego St. connection.

It is encouraging to see that Penny is looking to do whatever he can to emerge into the player Seattle hoped he would be. There are few people that can provide him with the kind of insight Faulk can considering he made the seamless transition from a mid-tier football school like San Diego State into becoming one of the greatest running backs in NFL history with the St. Louis Rams. The 23-year-old is now hoping to follow in his footsteps.

Many questioned the Seahawks' decision to take a running back in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Penny quickly justified all the criticisms by struggling to find his footing and finishing his rookie campaign with a mere 419 yards and two touchdowns on 85 carries.

Fortunately, Seattle is still optimistic about his chances at emerging into a potential workhorse in the near future. It will be interesting to see if Faulk's advice can help Penny get acclimated to his situation in Seattle.
