The Seattle Seahawks are in need of a QB following their Russell Wilson trade, and Deshaun Watson could be a good fit. He is a dual-threat quarterback that can make plays outside of the pocket.

Seattle pulled off a big trade recently by sending Wilson to the Denver Broncos. It was a shocking move, which has shifted the tide in both the AFC and NFC West. Wilson spent the first 10 years of his career with the Seahawks, and replacing him won't be an easy feat.

The Houston Texans have been looking to unload Watson for some time now, though his off-the-field issues prevented it from happening. Watson is a talented young quarterback but didn't play in the 2021 season due to the lawsuits filed against him.

He was cleared of criminal cases but still has 22 civil cases he is facing. It is still a risk to trade for Watson, but he is a phenomenal player. If he can clean up the problems off the field, he will be an interesting player to acquire.

The last time he played, in 2020, Watson led the league in passing yards with 4,823 yards. He also threw 33 touchdowns while only committing seven interceptions. Furthermore, he contributed to the rushing attack with 444 yards and three touchdowns.

In the Wilson trade, the Seahawks acquired a ton of assets, including draft picks. Seattle could use these extra assets to pursue a Watson trade.

With that said, here is the perfect trade offer the Seahawks must make for Deshaun Watson after trading Russell Wilson.

Seahawks Trade Offer For Deshaun Watson

Texans trade: Deshaun Watson

Seattle has two second-round picks this year, and trading one of them away is a no-brainer in this deal, along with the 2023 fourth-rounder. Sending the 9th overall pick would be a difficult choice, but they would be getting a Top 10 quarterback in the NFL.

The NFL is a quarterback league, and not having an elite one under center makes it hard to compete for a Super Bowl.

Watson's electric play style would fit well with wide receivers D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. His physical attributes allow him to break tackles and escape from the pocket.

This can create off-schedule plays downfield, which are hard for defenses to cover. With Metcalf and Lockett at receiver, it would be even tougher for cornerbacks and safeties to contain. Metcalf's physical play and big frame make him an elite deep threat.

Lockett is a solid all-around receiver who constantly produces at a high level. Watson would benefit drastically from having these two elite receivers to throw to.

Watson's off-the-field issues are a huge concern, but people forget how talented he is. If he can remain on the field, Seattle would be an excellent destination for him.

The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints are the frontrunners to land Watson, but Seattle should put their name in the hat and offer the Texans the aforementioned deal.
