Coming into the season as NFL champions and aiming to repeat in the 2021-22 NFL season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have become the first champion in NFL history to bring back all 22 starters from their Super Bowl-winning team. Having said that, there are a few players on this deep and dynamic Super Bowl-winning Bucs squad who are in danger of losing their starting spot before the upcoming season.

Coming into the 2021 NFL preseason, the Buccaneers are not playing their starters as much as other teams might be. Now that the NFL season has moved to an 18-game schedule, there's bound to be a few first-stringers who lose momentum or won't maintain the proper endurance for this.

With that in mind, let's take a look at two Buccaneers first-stringers in danger of losing their starting jobs ahead of the 2021 NFL season.

Buccaneers roster intrigues:

Scotty Miller

Spending most snaps as the slot receiver for the Buccaneers, Scotty Miller also is their starting punt returner. Given his speed and agility, Miller definitely has proven why he's the perfect fit at punt returner for them, but there is a chance the Bucs may want to preserve him for the long haul given that the regular season is now longer.

Although he may not be taken off the top spot on the depth chart as starting punt returner for the entire season, he may be limited to half the season, mainly due to the Buccaneers possibly wanting to play him more as a deep ball threat, especially given the on-field chemistry he and Tom Brady have already developed after having played together for just one season.

With there being a chance of the Buccaneers limiting his time as the starting punt returner, this would provide the opportunity for backup Jaydon Mickens to come in and make an impact at the position. Allowing Mickens to shine in this role would only add to the Bucs' already-deep talent pool and give them another speedy return man who can make deep gains for them all season long.

Leonard Fournette

Although nothing's certain and he still could be the starter in Week 1, there is a chance that the Buccaneers decide to go with Ronald Jones II as the new starting running back. Not that this would affect Leonard Fournette's playing time at all, but given how much time they both split at the position last season, it wouldn't be all that crazy of a change to see them make.

Fournette came through for Tampa Bay during the playoffs last year. At the same time, Jones was also highly productive and made a huge impact for the Bucs in the backfield or coming off slant routes and gaining a huge chunk of yardage. There is a chance that Jones will replace Fournette as the starting running back in Tampa Bay next season, but in no way will this affect how much playing time Fournette will get throughout the 2021-22 NFL season.
