Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown is set for ankle surgery on January 18th. It was reported by Ian Rapoport, and there was even an email detailing everything that is going to take place for the former Buccaneers standout.

Antonio Brown left the Buccaneers during their game against the New York Jets in Week 17 as he walked off the field and threw all of his gear off into the stands. After the game, the head coach of the Buccaneers Bruce Arians announced that Brown will no longer be on the team. It was unclear what happened at first, but from what it seems like, Brown was not happy that he had to play due to hurting his ankle prior to that game.

Because of him actually getting surgery, there could be another team that does decide to pick him up after he recovers from the ankle injury. Many teams are going to be questioning some of the things that he has done on and off the field, but there is no denying how talented of a wide receiver he is, and since he was injured when the incident took place, he might get another opportunity in the NFL.

The Buccaneers are surely going to miss Brown as he is one of the best wide receivers in all of football. They have a bunch of talent on their roster and whenever you have a guy like Tom Brady running an offense, your team is going to find success. It will be interesting to see how they play without him in the playoffs.
