Tampa Buccaneers new head coach Bruce Arians has stated his intentions to make quarterback Jameis Winston going into the 2019 season. Arians clearly believes in Winston, which is something Tampa Bay's previous coaching staff did not always feel that way about the former 2015 first overall draft pick.

Arians believes Winston is their guy and considering his successful history with past quarterbacks, Winston is poised for a breakout season and many great ones after. Winston is a great talent and possesses great potential, but his off-field issues have hindered any success he has hoped for in recent years.
Winston was in a constant quarterback with teammate Ryan Fitzpatrick, and it was nearly impossible for Winston to gain any kind of momentum. Any kind of mistakes were clearly big strikes against him as he was often benched for interception struggles or simply looking stagnant at times in the passing game.
Now that Arians has the reins with who will be playing quarterback, it sounds like Winston will get a fair chance to make his case for why he was taken first overall and provide more consistent outings. Winston has a fantastic connection with wide receiver Mike Evans, along with both of his tight ends, O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate. The Buccaneers could be a drastically different team next season. Players like Winston should be salivating at the opportunity to bring Tampa Bay back from the bottom of the standings.
