Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been involved in another questionable incident that has pushed the league to take action by handing him a  three-game suspension.

His former collegiate head coach at Florida State, Jimbo Fisher, has now chimed in on the entire matter stating that Winston is now paying the consequences for some for a bad decision that he has made, according to Ben Baby of The Dallas Morning News.

“I don’t know the circumstances with Jameis,” Fisher said. “I love Jameis. Hopefully he’ll be able to move on and obviously, that is something that he will be able to move on from. And yes, I love him. I still think he’s a tremendous young man. I really do.

“Unfortunately, he made some bad decisions this past season or whenever he did it. I don’t know exactly when that was. But I still love him. If you’re ever around him, you’ll understand what I mean. There’s not a better team player, a guy who works as much as [anyone].

“But he made he made a mistake, and obviously he’ll pay the consequences for that, and we’ll move on.”

Fisher went through his fair share of questionable situations that Winston put himself in during his two collegiate seasons at Florida State. He was involved in shoplifting crab legs, shouting a vulgar and inappropriate statement on campus, and was involved in a sexual assault case.

What has been most troubling is that Winston has continued to make these same mistakes that don't give off the impression that he has learned from his previous mishaps with better decision making moving forward. Instead, he has been allegedly involved in groping a female Uber driver that has only further cemented those criticisms of his unacceptable behavior off the field.

It has come to the point where the spotlight is directly on him to show maturity and a strong moral compass if wants to continue to have the privilege to play in the NFL.
