Tom Brady is set to be a free agent this offseason and he has plenty of options on where he can play if he wants to continue his NFL career.

Brady is 42 years old, and while his stats did take a bit hit during the 2019 season, some of that wasn't his fault. He didn't have elite wideouts to throw to, and there was no true tight end in the equation.

So what should Brady do this offseason?

Let's break down the five best landing spots for Brady in free agency.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have a solid defense, and the running game is top-notch. However, they are missing one thing, and that's a quarterback who can make clutch throws late in games. During the 2019 season, every time the Chargers got into crunch time, it seemed Phillip Rivers would turn the ball over.

All signs are pointing towards the Chargers moving on from Rivers, and they are going to need a quarterback that can win them games now.

This would also be a great marketing tool for the Chargers. Since coming to Los Angeles they haven't really gained a lot of traction with the fans, but bringing in Tom Brady could change that.

4. Las Vegas Raiders

Much like the Chargers, bringing in Brady would create a lot of buzz. The Raiders will be playing their first year in Las Vegas, and it appears the team is trying to find an upgrade from Derek Carr.

At this point, Brady might not be a big upgrade, but if the team feels that way, it would make a lot of sense. The Raiders have an elite offensive line and a good running game, which is something Brady can lean on.

Playing in warmer weather also wouldn't be a bad thing, although playing Patrick Mahomes twice a year might not be too appealing.

3. New England Patriots

Going back to the New England Patriots is the third-best option for Tom Brady. He has played his entire career with the Patriots, and just for that reason alone, it would make sense to stay.

The big problem with the Patriots is they haven't given him enough weapons on offense. The offensive line wasn't great last season, the running game couldn't be counted on, and outside of Julian Edelman, he didn't have receivers he could trust.

The defense is elite, which is a big plus, and in staying with the Patriots he wouldn't have to move his family.

But there are still better options for Brady.

2. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have a solid roster, but Jacoby Brissett held them back during the 2019 season.

This is a roster that is in a win-now mode but needs a quarterback to get them over the hump. For Brady, this makes a lot of sense because he can compete for another ring while playing indoors.

The team could also draft a quarterback in April that could sit behind Brady for a year or two while adjusting to the rigors of the NFL.

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers offense has all kinds of playmakers, and Bruce Arians is an elite offensive mind.

The team is looking for someone who will protect the ball better than Jameis Winston, and Brady fits that role. Brady would have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out wide, and that is one of the best wide receiver duos in football.

If the Buccaneers can bring in Brady and add a few pieces on defense, this is a team that could a lot of problems for the rest of the NFL next season.
