Fresh off their dominant performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to pick up right where they left off. After becoming the first champion in NFL history to re-sign all 22 starters from their Super Bowl-winning squad, the Buccaneers are looking to run it back and repeat as champions.
Now that Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are looking to continue their dominance and Bruce Arians may pass the head coaching torch over to Todd Bowles after this season, there are exciting opportunities ahead for Tampa Bay. With the competition revving up and the Buccaneers seemingly getting better with time, this year's title is without a doubt theirs to lose.
Let's take a look at four bold predictions for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into the 2021 NFL season.

Will boast the best overall defense all season
With Antoine Winfield Jr., Ndamukong Suh, Jason Pierre-Paul, Shaquil Barrett, Lavonte David, and Carlton Davis leading the charge for the Buccaneers' elite defensive unit, there's no denying that they'll once again have the best overall defense in the league next season. Their relentless pass rush, lockdown man defense, and stellar zone coverage made them the most complete defensive crew last campaign.
They'll more than likely repeat this success in the hopes of battling through a new and improved NFC that will give them a run for their money all year long. But with a second straight Super Bowl appearance in mind, the Buccaneers will more than likely have the best overall defense all season long.
Will have the highest-scoring offense
If history has taught us anything, it's that any team that has Brady as their starting quarterback will be involved in a ton of high-scoring affairs. With a top-10 receiving duo in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, a running back trio of Leonard Fournette, Ronald Jones II, and Giovanni Bernard, and tight ends Gronkowski and OJ Howard at the helm, there's no doubt that the Bucs will be able to score a record-setting number of touchdowns this season.
Considering that this offensive unit will be even more explosive coming into the campaign, they'll without a question be a nightmare scenario for any opposing defense they come across on their schedule. Simply put, the Buccaneers will showcase the highest-scoring offense in a record-setting manner.
Will end up winning the NFC South
With a series of roster changes happening across the board for the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers, this will definitely give Tampa Bay an edge in winning the division next season. This would also improve the Buccaneers' chances of getting home field advantage throughout the NFL Playoffs.
Especially taking into consideration how deep their roster will be on both sides of the ball, it would be hard to imagine the Bucs not coming out of the regular season with a winning record in their own division. While the Saints could surprise us and come out as the division champion, the Brady bunch possesses too much depth and firepower for the likes of the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers to overcome and beat twice during the regular season.
Will repeat as Super Bowl Champion
After overcoming the odds and outplaying reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to win it all last season, it seems the Buccaneers definitely have what it takes to replicate this formula for success. Especially considering all of their starters from last season are returning and they've made some quality offseason additions and a few sneaky-good draft picks. Heading into the season, the Bucs will undoubtedly have a more challenging road ahead of them and will have the biggest target on their backs.
Despite this, they'll be ready to take on whatever hurdle comes their way and they'll learn to improvise as they go, which has been their calling card and seems like it's worked to perfection so far. With their title defense at stake, and an even deeper team at their disposal heading into the 2021-22 NFL season, it feels like the Buccaneers have overwhelmingly big odds to repeat as Super Bowl kings.
