The Tennessee Titans shocked the football world during the 2022 NFL Draft when they traded Pro Bowl wide receiver AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles for a first-round and third-round pick. It sent shockwaves throughout the NFL and the Titans fan base. Tennessee fans went nuts online in disbelief that their team traded away arguably the second best player behind Derrick Henry. After all, they were the number one seed in the AFC last season.

AJ Brown has already been catching passes with the Eagles at offseason voluntary work outs. He appears to have already moved on and might be thinking Titans fans need to do the same.

“Let that hurt go and move on,” Brown tweeted.

It's hard to say specifically that the message was delivered for Titans fans, but it certainly makes sense. They are certainly feeling the hurt of the trade.

Tennessee had the pieces to make a legitimate run at a Super Bowl. They still boast one of the best running games in the NFL. The Titans rush defense was among the best in the league last year, which makes a big difference help hide the average secondary.

Obviously, the biggest question mark was at quarterback. Veteran QB Ryan Tannehill at times has looked like a Pro Bowl level guy, but at other times, like in their AFC Divisional Round home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, looked like just another guy at the position.

Tennessee drafted wide receiver Treylon Burks out of Arkansas with the first-round pick in the trade. Burks profiles as a very similar type receiver to Brown. But one has already proven to be an elite playmaker at the NFL level, leaving Titans fans understandably upset.
