The Tennessee Titans are preparing to host the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday. This matchup, which officially kicks off Week 16 of the NFL, is huge for the Titans. They will attempt to increase their lead in the AFC South, with the Indianapolis Colts not far behind. With the recent COVID outbreak and injuries from a long season, there are a lot of factors going into the Thursday night game. For this Titans-49ers matchup, let's take a look at my boldest Titans Week 16 predictions.

Titans Week 16 Predictions

4. Unsuccessful offensive line

The Titans have been fortunate this year when it comes to the success of their offensive line. The effort from their linemen is a direct impact on the Titans' ability to win football games this season.

However, recent injuries and illnesses have put huge holes in the O-line. The Titans announced on Wednesday that they will be without left tackle Taylor Lewan and left guard Rodger Saffold. Lewan is dealing with a back injury, while Saffold is on the team's COVID-19 list. The changes in the offensive line are extremely late in the short week, and I don't think there's any way that Tennessee can successfully rearrange their players in time.

3. Great game for D'Onta Foreman

The Titans have been without star running back Derrick Henry since Week 8. He averaged 117.1 yards per game in the eight games he played this season, before joining the IR with a foot injury. Other running backs have been forced to step up in his absence.

Tennessee signed D'Onta Foreman to their practice squad on November 2, just two days after Henry was injured. He quickly joined the active roster and has been a large part of the Titans' run game since Week 9.

Last week, Foreman ran for 108 yards, just shy of his season record of 109 yards in Week 12. Given the importance of the Week 16 matchup, expect Foreman to have at least 100 rushing yards on Thursday, as well as his second rushing touchdown of the season.

2. Multiple interceptions

Noted earlier, the Titans were forced to attempt to patch up a depleted offensive line just one day before kickoff. This in mind, there will most likely be a lot of mistakes made Thursday night.

Ryan Tannehill and his offense primarily focus on their passing game, meaning that the quarterback needs a strong, cohesive offensive line. Without one, Tannehill is more likely to panic and throw inaccurate passes. I don't think that the Titans will be able to come up with an offensive line strong enough to cover the 49ers' defense. Tannehill will be under a lot of pressure on Thursday, so expect at least two interceptions from the Tennessee quarterback.

1. Titans loss

Unfortunately, I think that injuries and COVID-19 will get the best of the Titans this week. While the 49ers are also struggling with injuries, there is something about Jimmy Garoppolo that allows him to put up points, regardless of the situation. He is an underrated quarterback, and will put up a lot of points on Thursday with his main offensive weapon, Deebo Samuel, available for receptions.

Finally, my boldest prediction yet: 49ers win 24-13.
