There is now a notable injury concern regarding Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown ahead of the Week 17 clash with the Miami Dolphins.
Brown was a full participant in the Titans’ scheduled practice session on Wednesday. However, he went on to miss practice on Thursday due to a calf injury.
It remains to be seen on Brown’s status for the Titans’ final session of the week on Friday. If he goes on to miss practice for the second consecutive day, it sure would not bode well for his availability for Tennessee’s upcoming matchup with the Dolphins.
Article Continues BelowBrown recently made his return from injured reserve, as the third-year wideout had been sidelined for three games due to a chest injury. Titans head coach Mike Vrabel provided Brown with the green light to play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16. He made the most out of his time on the field, as he hauled in 11 receptions for 145 receiving yards and one touchdown catch.
As it stands, the Titans are also keeping a close eye on wideouts Julio Jones and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, as they each were recently placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The two featured in the Titans’ home win over the 49ers.
A win for the Titans over the Dolphins will clinch them the AFC South. But as it stands, Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill may have to be ready for the possibility of being without a trio of his coveted offensive threats in Week 17.
